About me
Dr Merridy Lithgow is a podiatrist, researcher and clinical educator based in Sydney, working with runners and people managing lower limb pain. She holds a Bachelor of Podiatry with First Class Honours from the University of South Australia, a Masters in Clinical Biomechanics from the University of Brighton, and a PhD from La Trobe University, where her research examined foot structure and function in people with midfoot osteoarthritis.
Merridy's research has been published in journals including Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, Arthritis Care & Research, Gait & Posture and the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research. Alongside clinical practice she has taught podiatry and evidence-based practice at three Australian universities. She works at the point where research meets the treatment room, translating what the evidence actually shows into terms that make sense to the person in front of her.
