Current research

Merridy recently completed her PhD on midfoot osteoarthritis. Her research examined how foot structure and function differ between people with and without midfoot osteoarthritis. This included detailed analysis of foot morphology using 3D scanning, x-rays and MRI, assessment of muscle strength and joint range of motion, and evaluation of kinematics and kinetics during walking and functional tasks. Her findings contribute to a clearer understanding of the mechanisms involved in the development of midfoot osteoarthritis and help to inform clinical decision making.
